CSF-aware · Complementary, not a replacement

CSF Firewall Monitoring
with reasons you can read

Safety Monitor Pro reads your CSF and LFD state and shows what your firewall is doing — every block, every allow, and why — in plain language inside WHM. It complements ConfigServer Security & Firewall; it never replaces it.

The problem

CSF is doing its job. But "why is this IP blocked?" is still a chore.

CSF and LFD are excellent at enforcement — but visibility is another matter. Answering an owner who says "my IP is blocked", or figuring out whether a deny entry came from an LFD trigger, a temporary ban, a country rule or a manual edit, usually means SSHing in, running csf -g, and reading the LFD log line by line.

None of that means CSF needs replacing — it means the state CSF already tracks deserves a readable window. When a brute-force wave hits, or an allowlist entry goes missing, you want to see the reason immediately, not reconstruct it from logs after the ticket lands. Safety Monitor Pro is built to be exactly that window: CSF-aware monitoring that sits alongside your firewall and translates its activity into plain language.

How Safety Monitor Pro solves it

Full CSF/LFD visibility, complementary by design

It reads CSF state and surfaces it — it does not take over enforcement. Here is what you get.

🔥

Block & allow, in plain language

Reads CSF/LFD state and shows deny entries, temporary bans, allowlist entries and country rules with the reason behind each — no more decoding csf -g output by hand.

🛡️

Complementary, never a replacement

Safety Monitor reads CSF state and can add allow or deny rules through CSF. Your firewall stays in charge of enforcement — this is a visibility and control layer on top.

🔁

Brute-force detection

Correlates LFD triggers and repeat-offender IPs so distributed brute-force and credential-stuffing attempts surface as patterns, not scattered log lines.

🌍

Country-rule clarity

See CSF country (CC_ALLOW / country-block) rules and GeoIP context together, backed by a self-contained country/ASN database with no external API key required.

🔓

Never-block-self

On first entry the plugin offers to allowlist your current admin IP in csf.allow, so tightening rules can never lock you out of your own server.

📄

Firewall block report per IP

A consolidated per-IP view — csf.deny reasons, temporary bans, LFD triggers, allowlist and country status — so answering "why is this IP blocked?" takes seconds.

ConfigServer Security & Firewall (CSF) is a third-party product; Safety Monitor Pro reads its state and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ConfigServer. It complements CSF and does not replace your firewall.
